I have spent over 20 years inside the global footwear manufacturing ecosystem — not observing it from the outside, but embedded within it. From pattern rooms in Guangzhou to last development meetings in Ho Chi Minh City, from tannery visits in Santa Croce to costing negotiations in Dhaka.
What I found was a gap: the people making decisions — sourcing managers, brand executives, factory directors — were often the last to see the signals that mattered.
